As a vet specialising in equine care 🐴 👩‍⚕️, I recommend our Hoof Care to dry out and sanitise affected hoof structures. Its regular application also hardens the sole, bars and frog allowing greater comfort for horses with sensitive feet. By making the sole harder and more resistant, our Hoof Care is an invaluable aid when going barefoot. I advise you to apply Hoof Care to the sole and also to 1 cm of the lower part of the hoof.

Fork rot is a problem frequently encountered by horse owners. The forks are soft or even necrotic, the furrow deepens and becomes oozing. A foul odour is produced. The infection can spread to the rest of the foot, leading to discomfort and even lameness. The cause of this deterioration is multi-factorial: damp environment, rising bedding temperature and contamination by bacteria such as fusobacterium necrophorum and/or fungi.

⚠️ Care products are not medicines and cannot be considered as such. They are complementary aids that cannot replace medicines. If in doubt, ask your vet for advice 👩‍⚕️.
