As a vet 👩⚕️, I recommend Hoof Grease for horses suffering from dry, brittle feet. Hoof Grease has emollient and moisturising properties. This balm makes the horn of the hoof more supple, which helps the normal phenomenon of the horn box deforming in response to the pressure of the body’s weight. It is important to maintain this suppleness as it helps to absorb the shocks associated with the horse’s normal locomotion🐴 . To apply it, I advise you to start at the perioplic pad, i.e. the junction between the horn and the skin, as this is where the horn is synthesised.
❗ Given its softening properties,❗ it is not useful to apply it to the inside of the hoof on the ground as this is a part of the hoof that we prefer to make more resistant to shocks and abrasions. For this part of the hoof, I recommend our Hoof Care.

👉On dry, brittle feet:
Apply to pinceau🖌️sur the entire height of the hoof, extending slightly over the crown two to three times a week.
👉On normal feet:
Apply to pinceau🖌️sur the entire height of the hoof, extending slightly over the crown once a week.
