As a vet specialising 👩‍⚕️ in equine nutrition🐴, I recommend No Stress as an in-depth treatment for phobias in horses.

It is undeniable that horses experience positive and negative emotions, however, it is important to remember that a horse cannot be considered a pupil in the human sense of the word. According to Margit H. Zeitler-Feicht in her ‘Handbook of Horse Behaviour’, horses learn by habituation, conditioning, imitation and impregnation.

These learning methods are affected by the horse’s state of mind in the situation. For example, a horse that is too energetic, frightened or distracted by its hormones will not be in the right conditions for effective, long-lasting learning. However, this process is gradual and may require regular supplementation throughout the year.
