As a vet specialising 👩⚕️ in equine nutrition🐴, I recommend Powervit in all situations where the good health of the gastrointestinal flora is compromised (episodes of diarrhoea, colic, following worming, antibiotic treatment, putting out to grass…). Reseeding and stimulating balanced intestinal flora are excellent ways of preventing colic and diarrhoea.
Powervit also helps horses get more out of their feed, so they can gain weight safely. I use it to secure my rations for emaciated horses or older horses suffering from leaky gut syndrome (more or less the equine equivalent of Crohn’s disease), which is characterised by loose stools, emaciation and greater susceptibility to infection.
⚠️ Feed supplements are not medicines and cannot be considered as such. They are supplementary aids that cannot replace medicines. If in doubt, ask your vet for advice 👩⚕️.
